Pittstown clerk states that record is not copiable but states that Henry was born 5/20/1893 to John Carpenter age 22 a laborer born Windhall, VT and Charity Brooks Carpenter age 20 born Hope, NY.  Record #92 (which she says means really nothing)

Henry was killed by lightning traveling down an old telephone wire that was unconnected and loose.  He was in a closed hotel in Hinckley, NY that had long term workers staying there.  He was a mechanic on a construction site.  His family had come to visit.  He was sitting next to the wire and lightning followed down the phone wire.  He had just handed his baby daughter to his wife moments before.

Death on file in Ohio, NY state record # 47773 for 8/6/1924.
