Harvey was the son of Daniel Carpenter and Nancy Mildred Carter.
He married Eliza Jordan on April 5, 1846.
Their four children were William N. (1847-1924), Mary (1849- ), James Edward (1850-1941), and George (1852-1914). Eliza passed away before December 29, 1861, when Harvey married Louisa Marion Dillon.
Their children were Charles (1865-1924), Harvey Alfred (1867-1938), Lavina Elizabeth (1868-1966), and Joseph Marion (1869-1962).

Hi John,
I told you I would follow up with you if I was able to locate the Miller Cemetery in Fleming County, Kentucky, where my great grandparents, Harvey Carpenter and Louisa Dillon Carpenter, are buried. This issue has been plaguing me for months. I'll be returning to the area in late July for another Carpenter family reunion, and I wanted to have a better chance of finding the cemetery.
I had searched on Find-a-Grave using both of their names without results. Last week, I looked up the name of the cemetery, and a Miller Cemetery in that county showed up, the one you mentioned in your correspondence. As you had said, there isn't a location given for that cemetery on Find-a-Grave. There were no listings for my family, but I contacted Daniel Wyatt, who had posted the grave pictures on the site. I was hopeful that he had seen some Carpenters in the cemetery. He responded, telling me he thought I had the wrong location, because there weren't any Carpenters there. I gave him the information I had found in A Composite Index of Fleming County Cemeteries, which said it was on Rt. 989 on the Clifton Applegate Farm. He set out to find it on Saturday.
After making many inquiries, he was told by locals that they hadn't heard of the cemetery. Then, he found a young man who lives nearby and had visited the cemetery as a child. He remembered seeing the Carpenter headstone. He took Daniel to the cemetery, which is about 1/4 mile off Rt. 989 on the Applegate Farm. It's at the back of a field under some trees. Most of the headstones are unreadable, but Harvey's was in fairly good shape, and he sent me a picture of it, as well as pictures of the surrounding area. I have the contact information for the young man, who said he would be happy to help me find it.
Needless to say, I am very excited. Daniel added the cemetery to Find-a-Grave (ID 268410), as well as a number of memorials. I have created memorials for Harvey and Louisa. On the site, there is not a location, but when I visit in July, I will get the coordinates and submit them to Find-a-Grave.

The will was proven on 22 Nov 1875.
1. To son James 2 tracts, 10 acres each.
2. To son George one tract of 10 acres and one of 20 plus$25.
3. To son William N. 20 acres.
4. To wife Louisa the rest of the estate, as long as she remains a widow or until his youngest child reaches the age of 21. If she remarries, she will receive 1/3 of the estate.
5. When youngest child reaches 21, Louisa to keep 1/3 of the estate and the rest to be divided between Charles, Harvey A., Lavina, and Joseph M. At the time of Louisa’s death, her third to be divided between these four youngest children.
