Bio:
Barry J. Carpenter of Chadds Ford, PaBarry J. Carpenter, 74, died on July 22, 2014 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. Born to the late Charles and Dorothy Carpenter in Chester, he has resided for over 25 years in Chadds Ford and previously Aston and Upland, Pa.
He graduated from St. James High School, class of 1958, he then served in the U.S. Air Force and was later employed by Boeing for over 35 years retiring in 2011.
Barry was a member of St. Cornelius Church where he served as an usher, he also belonged to St. James Alumni. He was a member of American Legion Post 926, AOPP previously flying and owning 2 planes and the Southeast Chester County Gun Club.
Barry enjoyed riding his Harley and served as past president of the American Legion Riders. He enjoyed boating, fishing and music. He was the Lead Guitarist in the band "Jimmy & The Tropics" playing over 40 years at local venues in the Tri-State area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Christina Marker.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy L. West (nee Shenberger); son, Richard (Patricia) Sutherland; stepchildren, Robert West and Deborah West; sibling, Joanne Carpenter; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 29th, at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd., Chadds Ford, PA 19317. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley.
Interment, Washington Crossing National Veterans Cemetery, Newtown, Pa.

SHIZUKO 'KORI' CARPENTER
HAMPTON - Shizuko "Kori" Carpenter, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grand-mother, and friend, flew home to be with her Heavenly Father on Feb.26,2007.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1956,in Tokyo, Japan; returned to the United States and moved to the Peninsula with her par-ents, eventually graduating from Denbigh High School in 1973. She was a Peninsula resident ever since.
Koh worked as a Serials Assistant at the College of William & Mary Law Library; as a paper carrier for the Daily Press; and a multitude of other jobs in the course of provid ing for her family.
She was also an active volunteer supporting the Youth Ministries and other activities at Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church, Brownies and Girl Scouts.
She was an extraordinarily loving and giving person who routinely gave her time and resources to help others, rarely asking anything for herself.
She is survived by her parents, Albert Monroe Jr. and Shizuko Takeuchi Dower; her brother, Albert Monroe Dower Ill; her daughter and son-in-law, Angelique Kesano Rios and Eduardo Anel Rios; her two younger daughters, Kassaundra Jacquelyn Shizuko Dower Carpenter and Miyoko Jasmine Grace Dower Carpenter; as well as her two grandchildren, Jenaysia Amari Rios and Eduardo Anel Rios Jr.
The family will be receiving friends at Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church at 38 Hoopes Road in Newport News on Thursday, March 1, at 5:30 p.m. with a memorial service following at 7:30 p.m.
Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Fri day, March 2, at Peninsula Memorial Park.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the ion Carpenter Family Memorial Fund" in care of Warwick Memorial United Methodist Church, 38 Hoopes Road, New-port News, VA 23602.

Robert W. “Butch” Carpenter, age 80, died on May 7, 2019 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. Born, raised, and educated in Chester, Butch attended St. Robert’s Parochial School and graduated from Chester High School in 1957. Butch has lived in Linwood for the past 17 years.
He retired from The Boeing Company after 38 years working in the Sheet Metal Department. Butch loved golfing, hunting, fishing, and was a member and president of the Boothwyn Bass Hawks since 1973. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He was the son of the late Edward and Kathleen (Gallagher) Carpenter; father of the late Robert “Bobby” Carpenter, and brother of the late James Carpenter and Margaret Carpenter Ragni.
Survivors: His loving wife of 40 years, Donna Eckman Carpenter; his children Eugene “Gene” Mancuso and Daniel “Dan” Mancuso (Kellie); his brother Edward Carpenter; and his grandchildren Daniel and Nicholas Mancuso and Dominic Burrell; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday morning from 10-11:15 am at the Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston.
Funeral Service: Tuesday at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
Burial: Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills.

Eddie William Carpenter Published on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 9:05 AM MSTEddie William Carpenter, 70, of Eden passed away July 23, 2008, in California. He was born Dec. 11, 1937, in Eden to Eddie Albert Carpenter and Minnie Maybelle Thatcher. He married Jean Douglas on July 1, 1955. Eddie worked for the University of Arizona as a soil and water analyst. He also worked as a farm manager for the LDS Church Farm in Lost Hills, Calif., for 10 years, as a farm manager for the University of Arizona in Yuma for two years and the farm manager for the U of A Experimental Farm in Safford for 16 years. He retired in 2003 and moved to Eden. He and his wife served an LDS mission to the Bridgeport, Conn., Mission. Eddie loved his family and was always there for them. He enjoyed hunting and camping with his family.
Eddie was a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was active and served in many positions throughout his life. He loved to be the Gospel doctrine teacher and was the ward mission leader. He is survived by his wife, Jean of Eden; eight children and their families – Monty of Morenci, Carie Jo (Doug) Taylor of Bakersfield, Calif., Joel (Susan) of Bakersfield, Charles (Cal) of Phoenix, William (Jaleen) of Gilbert, Stephanie (J.D.) Hannah of St. Davids, LaRena (Ryan) Kouts of Safford and Jared of Eden; four brothers, Ray (Gloria) of Eden, Ross (Pam) of St. Johns, Dick (Ada) of Mesa and Mannie (Linda) of Mesa; 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at the Pima LDS Church on Highway 70 in Pima. Friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. prior to services on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Eden Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Family suggests donations be made to the ward missionary fund.
