These are the known descendants of Thomas Carpenter-65976
of Bradford on Tone, Somerset, England. While many descendants stayed in England, one branch emigrated to Utah. This is where the Y-DNA samples came from. WE REALLY NEED Y-DNA SAMPLES FROM THIS CARPENTER LINE IN ENGLAND..
This Carpenter line is represented by Group 33 of the Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project.
The Carpenter Cousins Project is an effort to update and correct Carpenter/Zimmerman and related surnames.
See much more at the Carpenter Cousins web page at: https://carpentercousins.com - The Carpenter Cousins Project is part of the Guild of One Name Studies.
The number after the surname is a record information number (RIN) from the Carpenter Cousins Project master genealogical database. See: The Carpenter Cousins Project
Group 33 is genetically unique from other Carpenter/Zimmerman groups within the Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project. This despite only two Y-DNA samples of descendants documented. WE could use more Y-DNA tests on this Carpenter line.
The Group 33 descendants are both genetically and genealogically connected, albeit only back to a Joseph H. Carpenter-49485 b. 1861 in Devon who is the MRCA aka the most recent common ancestor of those Y-DNA tested. Read the NOTES.
This file does contain mistakes. This despite great efforts to correct such. Verification is always needed of any data.
Generally speaking, the better the documentation, the better the data is. Seriously, Please read the notes.
NOTE: Names and relationships have been retained for those living, but other details have been removed for privacy.
