These are the known descendants of Moses Carpenter-65976 of Jackson County, Alabama and Tishomingo County, Mississippi. He was born about 1793 in South Carolia and died about 1850/1860 in Mississippi.

This Carpenter line is represented by Group 35 of the Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project.

The Carpenter Cousins Project is an effort to update and correct Carpenter/Zimmerman and related surnames.

Group 35 is genetically unique from other Carpenter/Zimmerman groups within the Carpenter Cousins Y-DNA Project. This despite only two Y-DNA samples of descendants documented. WE could use more Y-DNA tests on this Carpenter line.

The Group 35 descendants are both genetically and genealogically connected. This includes those who are reasonably believed to be related but are not proved. Read the NOTES.
