Mrs. McKnire, 77, of Lewiston, Dies

LEWISTON - Funeral for Mrs. Frances McKnire, 77, Lewiston, who died Monday afternoon in St. Joseph's Hospital after a three-week illness, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Creel-Newton-Retz Funeral Home.
The Rev. J. Wilson Branstetter will officiate. Burial will be in the Lewiston Cemetery. Mrs. McKnire was born Sep. 14, 1886, at Morgantown, W. Va., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chipps. She was married there to Edward McKnire in 1911.
They homesteaded east of Grass Range in 1913. Mr. McKnire died in 1933. Mrs. McKnire was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are two son, Ralph of Thermopolis, Wyo., and Vester of Great Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Stevens of Billings; three brothers, Harrison Chipps of East Canton, Ohio, and Thornton and Charles, both of Morgantown; one sister, Mrs. Linnie Phillips of Morgantown, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
